Brian Eno Calls On Backing to Send Together for Palestine Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to propel a Palestinian lullaby to the Christmas number one spot. The project aims to deliver assistance to Gaza's residents while also spotlighting Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Chance for Support and an "Surprise Victory"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to show solidarity with Palestinians during the holidays. He acknowledged the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“That would be amazing if that happened, yes,” he stated. “I won't be completely disappointed if it doesn’t, festive releases are a thing unto themselves.”

Resilient Spirit of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the adaptation of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's powerful central theme.

“It has a profound significance for many individuals,” Barghouti shared. “The essence is that I would rather die in dignity than exist without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we want to live a dignified life that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Production History and Contributing Musicians

The song was recorded following a solidarity show held in September. Initially planned to be performed and recorded live, the performance was cut from the show due to scheduling overruns.

The notable list of performers appearing on Lullaby includes a group of acclaimed names from the music world. All participated in the earlier concert, which managed to collect a significant sum for humanitarian aid.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was crafted by a team of talented individuals. The song blends a combination of the original Arabic with freshly written English words.

The group managing the campaign have stated that their goal is to collect the highest amount for a dedicated fund. These proceeds will be allocated to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“There is no a rigid aim,” a figure explained. “We aim for as much as possible. Of course, the more the merrier. It all goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was noted for its widespread damage, with a huge proportion of property reportedly destroyed or damaged.

“Against that backdrop, a few million doesn’t make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is above all raising awareness for this issue and proving the human dimension of the story.”

The track is set to be released this Friday. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made accessible to view on a digital service from the 19th of December.
