Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of reports of questionable actions involving women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
