The Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Astrological Sign
The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to players developing firm views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
With numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was almost selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why Aries much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Remain on the good side of both and benefit from a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its standard and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed love of snacks. Many past Pokédex entries note their fondness for tasty sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Taurus energy.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an constant fountain of chatter to those who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an whole open area with their tales. Medicham’s official description also states its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Twins.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often getting absorbed in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to create a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly mirrored across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them worry more about others.
The Scorpion – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion adores karma and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a performance. As a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Detached air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire sign that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire category fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating presence is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
