Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to share openly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began spending more time together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "one day without mirth".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a different piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive put a embargo on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a official listing citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the tragedy, public personalities expressed different reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing provocative claims that were widely condemned by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the critics last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan labeled the remarks as "shocking" and remarked they showed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by proposing that an aide could have acted when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
